Comcast and the city pull the plug on cabble access
Yes it is true. At the end of the year the cable company and the city are pulling the plug on cable access. No more local public access of the cable airways.
I knew this was coming last year when I found out Comcast was taklng over. Now the rules have changed in their favor and they no longer have to produce local cable access shows in Va. It is a nation wide trend.
I posted this on WSET's comment page back in August.

Local cable access is toast. And most people won't even care. The clown cowensul, I mean town counsel had made up it's mind long ago. More government approved government programing that will tell the story the way they want to tell it. No contrary opinions. No rude comments about the $8,500.00 a year "water sproot" in the river no comments on the over crowded Wards Rd area that happens to be in a crash zone at the end of the runway.
